Leaking water heater : Emergency shut off

• _{Shut off cold water, typically on the right side of the tank facing it from the front}
• _{Lever style shut offs, turn handle at a 45 degree angle to pipe}
• _{Round handle shut offs, turn clockwise several times until it wont turn no further}
• _{Gas water heater: Shut off gas valve}
• _{Electric water heater: Shut off electric at main breaker panel}
